Hangar 1, Building K277
This project included new 12 kV service to four existing 12 kV substations to be rehabilitated with new incoming 12 kV switchgear, 12 kV to 480 V oil-filled transformers and low voltage distribution switchboards.
The new 12 kV feeder is run through a utility tunnel beneath the double hangar and terminates in four oil-filled 12 kV tap boxes. From the tap boxes, the 12 kV feeds are run in the hangar to the Mezzanine area where the substations are installed on structural platforms.
In addition to the 12 kV feeders, a separate new 4,160 V system is being installed to connect to four rehabilitated 4,160 V to 120/208 V substations.

Hangar 3, Building 500
The project included two (2) outdoor 12 kV 1000 kVA substations that were replaced with new equipment, due to the presence of PCBs. New underground feeders were run from an existing underground 12 kV distribution system including new 12 kV cable splices. The project also included 480V and 120/208V distribution systems, emergency power systems, and 400 Hertz aircraft power systems.
