This maximum-security facility represents a breakthrough in prison construction by providing a well designed, fully functional institution at a moderate cost. LSW designed the M/P/E systems for this 768-bed facility. Electrical design included power, limited inmate cell design to avoid nuisance of tripping of circuits due to illicit tampering by inmates, and 100-foot High Mast security lighting. Architectural and engineering change orders were less than 0.5%.
